Imagine walking into a clean, spotless, and shining bathroom. Doing so changes the feeling of the whole house. That’s why maintaining a clean and organized bathroom is not only about hygiene but also about transforming the environment of your home. However, do you know how to keep it clean in the most effective way possible?
Join us and find out how to maintain a clean and organized bathroom. Together, we’ll explore the best ways to create that fresh and airy effect that gives the bathroom its own little sparkle and brightens up the overall feeling of your home.

1. Declutter and Organize

Start by decluttering: It’s so easy for bathrooms to get full of clutter, from bottles, packets, and boxes of old products lying around to all kinds of objects that end up there. So, let’s begin by looking at countertops, cabinets, and the shower.
If you find any empty shampoo bottles, expired pills, or old towels you don’t use, it’s time to throw them away.
Organize essentials: Now it’s time to organize what’s left. Place your hair accessories, makeup bags, and other toiletries into boxes, so that you can leave them somewhere outside the room. All surfaces must be clear and empty.

2. Daily Cleaning Routine

Wipe surfaces: There are some surfaces in the bathroom that we recommend cleaning on a daily basis, not only for reasons of appearance but also for hygiene. Spray El Milagrito’s Degreaser on these surfaces. Let it sit for a couple of minutes, then wipe clean with a damp cloth.
Clean the mirror: To keep your bathroom mirror beautifully clean, you can use a glass cleaning product, or alternatively, some water mixed with a dash of white vinegar. Then wipe with a cloth.
Stay tidy: Spend a few minutes each day putting things back where they belong. Hang up towels, put away your toiletries, and empty the bin. Not only is a tidy bathroom more inviting, but it’s also easier to clean.

3. Weekly Deep Cleaning

Scrub the toilet: It’s nobody’s favorite job, but it has to be done. Use a toilet cleaner and brush to give the bowl a good scrub, especially under the rim and seat. Also, be sure to clean the outside, including the handle and base. For this, you can use El Milagrito’s degreaser to get rid of any grease marks that often build up over time.
Clean the shower and tub: Can you see all those little marks and stains in the shower and tub that build up over time? Let’s get rid of them. You can use a bathroom cleaning spray and a cloth, but for the tough spots, use El Milagrito’s Degreaser and get those surfaces as clean as new.
Wash the floor: Begin by sweeping or vacuuming to get rid of any dust, dirt, and crumbs. Then, mop with a bathroom floor cleaner, keeping El Milagrito’s Degreaser on hand for any tough stains.

4. Monthly Maintenance

Deep clean tiles: Even if they look clean, it’s surprising how much dirt builds up in the grout lines between the tiles. This needs a monthly cleaning. Scrub away with our degreaser to cut through grease and grime, and rinse thoroughly after cleaning.
Wash shower curtains or glass doors: Over time, mold can build up on shower curtains, and even in the corners and edges of glass doors. Let’s not let that happen.
Put the shower curtain in the washing machine. Add a dash of white vinegar in the machine if necessary to help with the cleaning process. You can even spray in some of our degreaser to help remove any tough stains.
As for the glass door, you can use a glass cleaner, or white vinegar with water, and scrub away. You should have it looking fresh in no time.
Clean light fixtures and vents: Don’t forget these parts. Dust often builds up in vents and in light fixtures. A simple wipe-down with a damp cloth is enough to do the job.

5. Seasonal Tasks

Inspect for mold and mildew: Sometimes, mold and mildew build in hidden areas without us realizing it. Check damp areas around the shower, tub, and windows. If you spot mold, clean it straight away with a mold remover. White vinegar with water can also be effective.
Refresh Caulk and Sealant: Caulk and sealant can crack over time, letting water in where it shouldn’t. Check the caulk around your tub, shower, and sink. If it’s in bad condition and is showing signs of weakening and deteriorating, scrape it out and apply new caulk. This prevents water damage and keeps things looking new.
Update decorations: A new season is a great excuse to freshen up your bathroom décor. Swap old towels, bath mats, and shower curtains for new ones. Add a few decorative touches like candles or plants to make your bathroom feel more inviting.
